Expose & Bond

Get Every Tooth Ready

For any orthodontic treatment to be effective, all teeth need to be fully erupted to increase the chances of long-term efficacy. An expose and bond procedure is a dental surgery performed when a tooth has not fully erupted or is partially covered by gum tissue and needs to be elevated to the dental arch.

Round Rock Oral Surgery & Dental Implants specializes in expose and bond procedures. By leveraging his expertise, Dr. Weber helps facilitate beautiful smiles by building strong foundations for orthodontic treatments. If you want orthodontic treatment, but need a little help getting there, let us assist you in reaching your oral health goals. Contact our practice to schedule a consultation today.

Expose & Bond Procedure

The procedure involves exposing the impacted or partially erupted tooth by removing the overlying gum tissue. This is typically done under local anesthesia to ensure your comfort during the procedure.

Once the tooth is exposed, an orthodontic bracket is bonded to the tooth's surface. This bracket serves as an attachment point for an orthodontic appliance, such as braces, to help guide the tooth into its correct position within the dental arch.

After the expose and bond procedure, the patient continues with orthodontic treatment to gradually move the exposed tooth into its proper alignment with the rest of the teeth.

Types of Anesthesia

We offer several forms of anesthesia to ensure your comfort.
