Mark Burchard, DDS
Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Burchard completed Dental School at the University of Texas Dental Branch, now called the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston, in 1984. Following graduation, he practiced General Dentistry in El Paso, Texas for five years, where he met his wife Lisa.
He then entered a one year Fellowship in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana.
The following year he attended a four year residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Macomb Hospital in Warren, Michigan including Detroit Riverview Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Michigan, where he received certificates in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Pediatric Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Being a native Texan, he couldn’t wait for the opportunity to return home.
Dr. Burchard has been practicing Oral Surgery in the Austin, Round Rock Area for over 22 years. His 5 year experience practicing General Dentistry prior to Residency, has given him a unique insight into all aspects of Dentistry.
He is a member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Texas Society of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association and the Capital Area Dental Society. He donates his time & services to Texas Missions of Mercy, Donated Dental Services, St. David’s Theo Project, and Manos de Cristo Dental Center.
Dr. Burchard has been named by his peers to the Super Dentists® list, for the twelfth year in a row.
He enjoys spending time in the Texas Hill Country, with family, friends and his dog.
